The endless quest for the perfect cycling kit (and my surprisingly awesome find!)
Let's be honest, fellow cyclists: is there ever truly "enough" cycling gear in our wardrobes? It's a rhetorical question, of course. The options are practically endless, a dazzling kaleidoscope of lycra, designs, and price tags. For me, the hunt always boils down to that sweet spot: the best blend of quality, price, and design. And I'll confess, having dabbled in T-shirt design some two decades ago, a good print is my Achilles' heel – or perhaps, my superpower. So, on a recent quest for new threads, I stumbled upon RSSC Sports, and let me tell you, this find was too good not to share with you all.
Cycling jerseys for every rider (and every wallet!)
RSSC Sports' website is a veritable candy store of cycling apparel, boasting literally hundreds of prints. Their star product? The jersey and bibs set, though you can snag them separately too. Seriously, the designs are awesome. Whether you want to go bold and make a statement, or prefer to blend in with understated cool, they've got you covered. Want to design your own? Yep, they do that too!
Then you get to the price, and prepare for your jaw to drop: a mere £39 for a bibs + jersey set or £23 for a jersey on its own (at the time of writing). Now, for cycling gear, especially with custom print options, that's not just a good price – it's practically a steal! Honestly, it made me a little suspicious about the quality. But after peeking at their mountain of glowing reviews, I threw caution to the wind and promptly ordered three jerseys and bibs. No regrets!

Better than expected: my doubts dissolved
Any lingering doubts I had evaporated the moment I ripped open the package. The designs? They look SO MUCH BETTER in real life! RSSC Sports, if you're reading this, please, for the love of all that is holy, update your website with more photos. Your gear deserves it!
A quick fabric inspection of the jerseys revealed 100% polyester that feels surprisingly substantial compared to some "premium" brands. The underarm panels are a tad thinner, which is smart for ventilation. The stitching is top-notch – no rogue threads or wonky seams here. The zipper is a standard, metal-handled affair, working smoothly up and down and staying put where it should. A silicone strip at the bottom hem keeps the jersey from riding up, which is a small detail that makes a big difference.

Very good quality finishing and details
Around the back, you'll find three pockets (no zippers, which I actually prefer, as anything hard in a backpack becomes a torture device for my back). There's also a subtle reflective strip – a nice touch for added safety. Sizing-wise, I'm 5ft 10 and ordered a Large; it fits perfectly, and the collar is just right – not too baggy, not too constricting.
Bibs: Built for the Long Haul (and Quick Stops)
Now for the bibs. Full disclosure: these are my first proper cycling bibs. But they fit exceptionally well. Of course, they're padded, and the chamois quality seems perfectly fine. After a 30-mile spin, I can happily report zero discomfort. The fabric is 80% polyester and 20% spandex. And before you even think of asking – yes, they are stretchy enough to pull down when nature calls. (Because, let's face it, that's a crucial design feature for any serious cyclist!).
The inaugural ride and beyond
I took my new kit out for its maiden voyage on a glorious 28-degree, full-sun day. What a ride it was! The jersey and bibs performed admirably. The fabric felt great; frankly, anything I'd wear in those temperatures would have soaked up sweat anyway. The good news is, it wicked moisture away pretty quickly, so after a 30-minute coffee break, it was mostly dry again. All standard, all good!
But the absolute best part? The designs! It truly feels good to look good, even when you're dripping sweat and your legs are screaming.
Summary: Highly Recommended!
So, if you're in the market for some new cycling threads that won't break the bank, but will make you look and feel like a million bucks (or at least, a very stylish cyclist), give RSSC Sports a whirl. You might just be as pleasantly surprised as I was!

I think I found my favorite design!
