Tested by Bikes and Bacon: why I recommend Lamicall

I tested the Lamicall Photochromic Sports Sunglasses across cold British gravel loops and early morning commutes to verify optical clarity, lens transition speed, and comfort.

Real-world testing highlights

  • PC HD photochromic transition: The lenses transition from clear to a tinted shade in direct sunlight, and revert back when the light drops. Because photochromic chemistry is temperature-sensitive, they get darker and react faster in cold weather than on hot summer days.
  • Featherlight TR90 semi-rimless frame: Weighing just 27g on my scales, they exert zero pressure on your nose bridge or temples. The frameless lower rim makes wiping away dirt and road spray effortless.
  • Anti-fog lens ventilation: Corner air cutouts ensure airflow stays consistent while rolling, preventing lens fogging on humid climbs.
  • Full UV400 protection: Certified 99.9% UVA and UVB blocking ensures complete eye safety even when the lens is clear.
